One Control Lemon Yellow Compressor BJF Design

In the complex and often misunderstood world of compressors and sustainers, Bjorn has designed a very simple pedal that covers both, with not only simplicity but versatility and high quality tone. 

The Lemon Yellow Compressor has separate Level, Gain and Ratio controls, which simplify and speed up the artists ability to add compression for everything from 'chicken-pickin' to rhythm and slide guitar styles.  In classic BJF style, these controls do exactly what they say...Ratio controls compression ratio from 1:1 up to 5:1, Level controls the pedals output volume, and Gain controls the VCA (Voltage Controlled Amplifier) up to 18dB.  There is easily enough Gain and Level to tastefully overload the input on your amplifier giving you a very slight but tasty distortion.  Depending on your style of play and your tonal requirement, there is a Sustain switch on the side of the pedal which will allow the lower transients through while still compressing the weaker signals.  This makes for longer sustain and easier playing.  The Lemon Yellow Compressor can be used for all guitar styles, and also for bass and keyboard.  

​Like all One Control Effects pedals, the Lemon Yellow Compressor is housed in a machined and anodized compact aluminum case, with only the best components inside to assure years of trouble free use.   The pedal can be powered by 9v battery, but we do recommend the use of a balanced power supply to maximize the life and quality of this effect.
