Homebrew Electronics Tramp- (Tremolo/Pre-Amp) is a completely different and unique trem effect. The Tramp is capable of abrupt trem sounds, fast speeds and a distinctive pre-amp that is able to produce overdrive. The Tramp is not based on any type of tremolo and is not meant to reproduce a vintage trem sound (not your daddy's trem). Features true hardwire bypass.
While this pedal may not be for everyone, it is a new and exciting effect that may be just what some of you are looking for.
Input-Instrument in. Unplug when not in use to conserve battery life.
Out-Out to amp
-9VDC jack-for use with -(Negative) center, 9VDC, filtered, and regulated power supply.
Speed control-Varies the rate of speed of the trem.
Strength control-This is the most sensitive and unique control on the Tramp. The strength control will vary the depth, intensity and attack of the trem. The most noticeable affect on the depth happens at the beginning of the control's travel. Higher settings will affect the intensity and attack. You can experiment to find the best settings for your taste.
Gain control-Varies the amount of gain available in the pre-amp. Capable of producing
overdrive at high settings. For clean signal, adjust the gain control at a lower setting
and raise the level control accordingly.
Level control-Varies the amount of output. The Tramp has a modest output level to avoid overdriving amplifier input or effects loops. Best ran at unity gain. You can experiment with placement in your effects chain for best results.
Boost select-Toggle to the right to slightly increase the amount of gain and output.
Trem-Turns on and off the trem effect.
On/Off-True bypass of pre-amp and trem. No, the trem cannot be run by itself.
(Note: a small pop may occur when effect is switched on/off. This is normal and is a trait associated with true bypass.)
