Sold out.

The warm, fat tone of the DiMarzio Model P® plus the tight punch of the DiMarzio Model J™ open up the sound of any bass.

This hum-canceling two-piece DiMarzio Model P® pickup brings big, punchy sound to Fender Precision Bass style pickups. The DiMarzio Model P® accurately reproduces the sound of your bass with added gain and solid tone. DiMarzio Model P® pickups cut through the band without sacrificing bottom-end power. Gutsy mid-range provides growl when the bass is pushed hard. Combine the DiMarzio Model P® with a bridge position DiMarzio Model JTM and experience any tone from a tight mid-range punch to a warm bottom-end with bright, clear attack.

The DiMarzio Model J™ bridge keeps the crunchy, focused sound of the traditional Fender Jazz Bass tone while boosting gain and response. This additional presence translates into a bigger sound with improved attack and bite; great for highly articulated finger or pick-style playing where quick response is needed. The DiMarzio Model J™ pickup's sensitivity and deep tone are also the perfect complement to the warm character of fretless basses. Double-stop glissandos and delicate violin-style vibrato speak with a classic, woody voice simply by backing off slightly on the tone controls.

Tech Talk:

The DiMarzio Model P®produces a heavy sound with midrange emphasis. Aggressive sound designed to cut through dense tracks and loud situations.

Note: This is a two-coil pickup. With the addition of a mini switch or push-pull pot, series / parallel switching is possible with hum canceling in both positions. However, coil cutting is not possible with this pickup because both coils must be "on" to hear all four strings.

Unlike traditional Js, each Model J™ is individually humbucking. It's not a stack: each coil picks up one pair of strings. By doing it this way, we keep the resistance down, and the tone clean and clear.

Note: Each neck and bridge pickup contains two coils. With the addition of a mini switch or push-pull pot, series / parallel switching is possible with hum canceling in both positions. However, coil cutting is not possible with this pickup because both coils must be "on" to hear all four strings.
