In 1954, Fender® made some changes in the Telecaster® lead pickup. Smaller diameter magnets were used and the center pole pieces extended closer to the strings. The result was a strong, clear response to high notes -- a bright and biting sound. The Seymour Duncan STL-1 duplicates this vintage model in every exacting detail.
